1.Summary
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, keep information in your browser in other ways. This policy explains what ATSCheck (atscheck.emketech.com), an EmKeTech product, stores in your browser and why.
- ATSCheck sets three first-party cookies, all strictly necessary for signing in and using your account.
- ATSCheck HR stores one interface preference in your browser’s local storage.
- We use no analytics, advertising, marketing or social media cookies, and no tracking pixels.
- Reading the public website sets no cookies. Cookies are set only when you sign in or use your account.
2.Cookies we set

All three cookies are HTTP-only, so scripts on the page cannot read them; Secure, so they are sent only over encrypted HTTPS connections; and SameSite=Lax, which stops them being sent with most requests started by other websites. They are sent only to atscheck.emketech.com and are never shared with other EmKeTech products or with third parties.

This value stays in your browser and is not sent to ATSCheck. ATSCheck does not use session storage, and does not keep sign-in tokens, documents or other personal data in browser storage.
4.Security check on sign-in pages
The sign-up and password reset pages load a security check from our bot-protection provider. It helps confirm that a real person, not an automated program, is submitting the form, which protects accounts from password guessing and fake sign-ups. It is not loaded on any other page.
- To do this, the check processes your IP address and technical signals about your browser and device, such as the browser type and how it responds to small background challenges. It does not read what you type into the form.
- In the way ATSCheck uses it, the check does not set cookies and does not use local or session storage. It produces a single-use token that is placed in the form and verified once by ATSCheck when you submit.
- The provider states that it uses these signals only to detect and block automated abuse, not to identify, profile or advertise to people.
Because this check is strictly necessary to provide the secure sign-in you ask for, it does not require consent. Our legal basis for the related processing is our legitimate interest in protecting accounts; see the Privacy Policy.
5.Payment pages
When you subscribe or manage billing, you are taken to our payment processor’s secure pages. Those pages are operated by the payment processor, not by ATSCheck, and may use their own cookies, for example to prevent payment fraud. They are described in the payment processor’s own privacy and cookie notices, available on those pages.
6.Why there is no consent banner
EU and Irish rules on cookies (the ePrivacy rules) require consent before storing information in your browser, except where the storage is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for. Everything described on this page falls within that exception: keeping you signed in, completing two-factor authentication, returning you to your workspace, remembering an interface preference you set, and protecting sign-in from automated abuse.
Because ATSCheck uses no other cookies or trackers, there is nothing to consent to and no banner is shown. If we ever add a cookie or similar technology that is not strictly necessary, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before it is used.
7.Managing cookies
You can see, block and delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Signing out deletes the ATSCheck sign-in and workspace cookies.
If you block the cookies on this page, you will not be able to sign in to ATSCheck. If you clear local storage, focus mode returns to your workspace’s default setting.
8.Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies or storage ATSCheck uses change, and change the “Last updated” date above.
