Data & Security
A plain description of how ATSCheck handles resumes and candidate data: where it is stored, who can reach it, and what happens when you delete it.
Where your data is stored
- Account data, resumes, job descriptions, analyses, cover letters and HR candidate data are stored in the EU (Ireland).
- Uploaded files are kept private and are never published. Download links expire after a short time.
- Your data is encrypted in transit between your browser and ATSCheck.
Who can see your data
- Resumes are private by default. Nothing you upload is shared or published.
- Every account and HR workspace is kept separate, so one customer cannot see another customer’s data.
- Personal resume data and HR workspace data are kept separate. Joining an HR workspace does not give your colleagues access to your personal resumes.
- In HR workspaces, what each person can do is set by their role.
- ATSCheck’s data and accounts are kept separate from other EmKeTech products.
Accounts and sign-in
- Passwords are never stored in readable form.
- Two-factor authentication is supported.
- Sign-in and other sensitive actions are rate limited to slow down automated attacks.
- Sign-in cookies cannot be read by scripts on the page. See the cookie information page for details.
AI features
- Only the document text needed for the task you asked for is processed.
- Resume, candidate and job content is not used by EmKeTech to train AI models.
- AI does not decide your score. Quotes are checked against your resume, and generated writing is checked for claims your resume does not support.
Logging
- Our records note what happened, not what you wrote. They never contain resume text, job descriptions, cover letters, notes, names, email addresses or passwords.
- Security and audit records (for example sign-ins and permission changes) are kept for up to about 13 months.
- Records of AI feature use are kept for fair use and billing, never with document content.
Retention and deletion
- Free plan results are kept for 30 days. Working copies that were not saved are removed after the analysis expires.
- On paid plans, saved resumes, jobs, analyses and cover letters stay until you delete them or your account.
- HR workspaces keep candidate data for the retention period the organisation chooses, or until it is deleted manually.
- Deleted data is removed from ATSCheck immediately and later rolls off our backups.
Payments
- Payments are handled by our payment processor. ATSCheck never receives or stores card numbers; it keeps only the billing references it needs.
Service providers
These categories of provider process data on EmKeTech’s behalf to run ATSCheck. A current list of service providers is available on request through our support form. The Privacy Policy describes international transfers and safeguards.

Certifications
ATSCheck does not currently hold independent security certifications such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001. We describe the controls above as they are, and will update this page if that changes.
Reporting a vulnerability
If you believe you have found a security issue, report it through the support form with a description and steps to reproduce, and say it is a security report. Please use synthetic test data only.
